Description   Communion (A)
spacer spacer spacer
The service of Holy Communion is celebrated in most Christian churches. Members of the congregation share bread and wine as Jesus commanded at the Last Supper (Mark 14:22-24). The service may also be called Eucharist, Lord's Supper or Mass. This sign could be used to mean a service of Holy Communion or it could be used to mean the action of taking bread and wine as in "I went forward to receive communion". A more specific sign may be used in the Catholic church
